In Cooperation with Faculty of Sports Science, “Salim” Campaign Organizes an Awareness Symposium to Promote Health Awareness Among Students


   As part of the university efforts to raise health and psychological awareness among its students and promote healthy behaviors, the “Salim” Health Education Campaign, which means (Fit), in cooperation with Faculty of Sports Science at Tanta University, organized today, Saturday, September 19th, 2026, an awareness symposium entitled “Your Choices Shape Your Health, Make Your Health Your Brand,” under the slogan “Your Health Is Your Brand”.
   The symposium was held under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University; Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Hany Sa’eed, Dean of Faculty of Sports Science; Prof. Fatema Bassiouny, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Amr Abdel Mon’em, General Supervisor of the Medical Administration at Fanta University.
   The symposium addressed a range of awareness topics relevant to students’ lives and daily choices. Dr. Wegdan Karam introduced the Medical Administration and the services it provides to students, as well as the “Salim” Campaign, while raising awareness about the risks of improper use and excessive consumption of painkillers.
   Dr. Yara Fayyadh discussed nutrition and dental health, highlighting caffeinated beverages and energy drinks and their effects on health.
   Meanwhile, Dr. Norhan Samy addressed social media and smart applications, highlighting the risks associated with their uninformed use, as well as raising awareness about excessive shopping through online shopping applications.
   For her part, Dr. Sara Hossam Addin discussed the risks of smoking and drugs, as part of efforts to enhance students’ awareness of behaviors that may negatively affect their health and lives.
   The symposium is part of the activities of the “Salim” Health Education Campaign, which aims to provide students with comprehensive educational content addressing various aspects that affect their physical and psychological health. The campaign connects health awareness with everyday choices and behaviors, helping students develop a greater capacity to adopt a more informed and healthier lifestyle.
