Faculty of Sports Science officially began the new academic year 2026/2027 on Saturday, September 19th, 2026, with students participating in the national anthem ceremony. The event was attended by Prof. Hany Sa’eed, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Fatma Bassiouny, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Heba Rawhy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Sherif Saleh, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, along with academic staff, assistant staff, and both new and returning students.
Prof. Hany Sa’eed congratulated the students on the beginning of the new academic year, urging them to adhere to university regulations and traditions, attend both theoretical and practical lectures regularly, and maintain continuous communication with their professors to maximize their educational experience.
He also emphasized that the university president's directives call for seriousness and commitment to ensuring the quality of the educational process at all levels, as well as the regular delivery of lectures from the very beginning of the academic year.
For her part, Prof. Fatema Bassiouny, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, encouraged students to actively participate in university activities through Youth Welfare Department.
Meanwhile, Prof. Heba Rawhy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, encouraged students to contribute to the community engagement initiatives carried out by the faculty and the University throughout the academic year.
In addition, Prof. Sheriff Saleh, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, highlighted that education does not end with a bachelor's degree, encouraging students consider pursuing postgraduate studies in their academic fields.
At the conclusion of the event, Faculty Dean reaffirmed that he, as well as vice deans, always welcome students to listen to their views and suggestions, and wished them best of luck.
