As a part of the presidential “Tamkeen” initiative under the slogan “Together Towards an Inclusive Future”, sponsored by His Excellency the President of the Republic and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which aims to raise awareness of the rights of persons with disabilities within the university community and facilitate full accessibility, inclusion, and participation in all student activities, Tanta University played a leading role under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University President; Prof. Mahmoud Selem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Mohamed Zain El-Abidin, Director of the University Disability Center, Prof. , Rania El-Imam, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education and Prof. Naglaa Helaby, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
Within the Department of Educational Technology, the first activities of the “Tamkeen” initiative were held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, where students with determination from the Departments of Educational Technology and Home Economics were welcomed in Lab 3 of the new educational building.
The lecture focused on PowerPoint for creating presentations for any educational content. Students were trained on how to open the program, use its basic features, insert images or logos, and design slides. They actively interacted with the available computers, creating slides, adding the faculty and university logos, and inserting text within the slides.
The day’s activities were prepared and supervised by Eng. Samira Aly Abdel Samee and Eng. Nancy Tarek Taha.
