Celebrating the University’s Golden Jubilee, Faculty of Specific Education Organizes a Symposium Entitled “Youth Confronting Terrorism and Extremist Thought” under Patronage of the Prime Minister

 Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Faculty of Specific Education organized an informative symposium today under the title “Youth Confronting Terrorism and Extremist Thought” in the context of celebrating the university’s golden jubilee under patronage of Prof. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister.

   In addition, the symposium is held under auspices of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, University President; Prof. Hamdy Shaaban, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Faculty Dean; Prof. Akram Nomeir, Faculty Vice Dean for Community Service; Prof. Deyaa Rashwan, Head of State Information Service (SIS); Mr. Amr Mahsoub, Head of Internal Media Sector at SIS; and Mr. Samir Mehanna, Undersecretary of Ministry of Media in Middle and East Delta.

    The symposium was lectured by Prof. Hassan Mohammed Eid, Lecturer of Comparative Jurisprudence at Faculty of Sharia and Law in Tanta with participation of Prof. Naglaa Al-Halaby, Faculty Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Rania Al-Imam, Faculty Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; and Ms. Azza Abdel Rafie Soror, General Manager of Middle Delta Media.

    Moreover, Prof. Hamdy Shaaban highlighted the significant role played by educational institutions that is part of the comprehensive strategy of the state for facing extremism and terrorism in cooperation with other civil institutions.
