To Inform Students about Their Dangers, a Symposium is Held on “Fourth-Generation Wars” at Tanta Faculty of Specific Education Maher 'Abbas warns students against believing malicious rumors

     Faculty of Specific Education at Tanta University organized today an educational symposium under the title “Youth and Their Role in Facing Fourth-Generation Wars” under patronage of Prof. Magdi Sab', University President, and Prof. Sayed Mazro', Faculty Dean, in cooperation with State Information System (SIS) in Middle Delta in the framework of the informative and enlightening role played by Tanta University and SIS to increase youth’s awareness about dangers of fourth-generation wars.

      During the symposium, a lecture was given by Mr. Maher 'Abbas, Vice Chairman of Al-Gomhuria Newspaper. He talked about the various wars that Middle East went through starting from wars of first, second and third generations to fourth-generation wars that target destroying national entity, spreading false and destructive thought in youth’s minds, undermining stability of countries, dissolving the state and brining it down, and circulating rumors and commotions. He affirmed that those wars targeted Egypt but failed to destroy or dissolve it pointing out that destroying nations was through controlling its youth.

      Al-Gomhuria Vice Chairman indicated that the most significant uses of fourth-generation wars were to circulate rumors, use TV channels to frustrate youth and dampen their enthusiasm, to start ethnic wars, to create economic crises, and to undermine stability in the region. At the end of his speech, he talked about how to protect youth through verifying the truth of information, knowing its source, maximizing large national projects and achievements.   

     For his part, Prof. Al-Sayed Mazro' welcomed all attendees and affirmed the importance of holding dialogue with youth to correct their false concept they found in social media and to inform them about how to face these false concepts.

    In his speech, Prof. Hassan Rashid, Faculty Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, encouraged youth on freelance work and its role in forming student’s character.  

   Prof. Hamdi Sha'ban, Faculty Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, asserted the importance of enhancement of youth’s loyalty to homeland. 

   Mr. Samir Mehanna, General Manager of Middle Delta Media, highlighted the significance of raising youth’s awareness via reading and gaining information about the most serious issues and challenges that faced Egypt such as fourth-generation wars, the most dangerous of them. Mr. Dahi Hagras, Manager of Tanta Media Center, participated in the symposium.

    During the symposium, Prof. Al-Sayed Mazro', honored Mr. Maher 'Abbas, Vice Chairman of Al-Gomhuria Newspaper.
