“Literacy and Adult Education” at Tanta Faculty of Specific Education

      Faculty of Specific Education at Tanta University organized a symposium today on “Literacy and Adult Education” under patronage of Prof. Magdi Sab', University President, and Prof. 'Emad 'Etman, University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, in the framework of cooperation between Tanta University and the General Authority for Adult Education in Gharbia.

    Prof. Al-Sayed Mazro', Faculty Dean, has indicated that during the symposium lectures were given by Mr. Gaber Abo 'Awad, Manager of the General Authority for Adult Education in Gharbia; and Prof. 'Abdel Fattah Sa'd, Professor at Faculty of Education. Measures that must be followed to eliminate illiteracy were discussed in the framework of carrying out the national plan drawn up by the state to eradicate illiteracy. Moreover, Mr. Gaber Abo 'Awad urged Faculty students to contribute effectively in literacy program in their villages and towns for a financial award given by the Authority for literacy of each citizen.   

   For his part, Prof. Hassan Rashid 'Abdel 'Aziz, Faculty Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, has asserted the significance of symposiums to disseminate awareness among University students about their important role in literacy and adult education. Prof. 'Abdel Wahed 'Ateya, Faculty Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, took part in the symposium.
